Thanks for calling Jay, you have done a wonderful job. I think this is the first "Raymond" message! I love the picture of my father-in-law Earl (aka Butch) with his cousin Aaron Weissman. Butch passed away last week at the age of 92.

I was just contacted by Jay. He told me some of the family information. Jenny Iszauk was my Grandmother. She married Hyman Hollander. But she died very young from influenza. I never knew that she even existed until I named my daughter Jennifer in 1973. My mother, Ruth Hollander, nee Freeman, told me then about Jenny. Hyman had remarried to Tillie and I always thought she was my Grandmother. Now I know Jenny is.
Thanks for calling, Jay

Hello Weissman family, I just stopped by to take a look at the family tree. I am not sure if I am related to any of you but I have always been interested in searching out more of my family history and thought that this would be a good place to begin. Great job on the webpage by the way. Shalom

Hi! I am a Montana Weissman. Probably not related, but our family emigrated from Russia/Poland/Hungary in the early 1900s and originally homesteaded near Great Falls, Montana. I haven't updated in a while, but I have put our family tree up on my website. Maybe we can connect a branch and find out we are related?

My father-in-law was Samuel Henry Weissmann and his father came to the US
in approx. 1902 from Hungary (name was Benjamin Weiszmann). We have never know of any family that was here, but felt there must be someone. Have any of you, by chance, ever hear of these two people. My husband, named for his grandfather Benjamin, is now 78 yrs. old and was born and raised in Brooklyn.
Let us know if you can be of assistance.
Thanks,
Hilda and Ben Weissmann

I just happened upon your site - what a wonderful job you have done! I've just begun my search and I'm starting off with very little information. I don't know if we are related but this is great fun. My grandfather was Frank (probably changed at Ellis), I'm named after my grandmother (Yetta who I never knew). Dad had an Aunt Nellie (married name Horn) who I believe brought Frank here from Russia. Some of the names in your tree coincide with some of mine (Berkowitz, Fishman). They settled in the NYC lower east side (who didn't?) and then Brooklyn. In the 60's I dated an Elliot Weissman and went to school with an Alan Weissman - back then we never bothered to check out family trees - wish I had. I'd love to hear from anyone who thinks they might be related.

Hello, Jay! I lost your number and e-mail address after we last spoke, Write back! By the way, my mother just published a book about her geneological research. Her mother's side of the family goes back to the founding of the Massachusetts colony (Greene) and thence to Rhode Island (they didn't like what was going on in Salem, so left). My oldest son, Paul, studies education at the University of Missouri, but will move to Italy after his sophmore year to attend school there in Sienna or Florence. He's in love with an Italian girl... The others are a girl,Kayla (10 and 5'2" and deciding whether she wants to be smart or a smart-aleck) and Andrew (soon to be 7)who wants to be everything. By the way, my brother Andrew is in Boston and your regional Assistant Secretary of the Interior. A Democratic Reagan appointee. I promise to keep in touch. When is your birthday? Did you cross over to the second half century yet? For some reason I think you are a February or December birthday, but I can't remember if younger or older than I.. I just had my 50th and I can only hope you have as much fun as I did. And enjoy being this age as much as I am. Mark Raddant

Great work on the site. I have been trying to trace my heritage. I literally know next to nothing about the Weissman side of my family. My paternal grandfather divorced my paternal grandmother and was never heard from again (at least that is the story in the family). Any suggestions on finding out about my heritage? Feel free to email me.
Take care...
